New Provisions on the Administration of Timber Products Sourced from Production Forests

The Minister of Forestry (“Minister”) has issued Regulation No. P.42/MENHUT-II/2014 on the Administration of Timber Products from Planted Production Forests (“2014 Regulation”).

The 2014 Regulation sets out general guidelines for forestry businesses in harvesting timber from planted production forests (hutan tanaman pada hutan produksi), its transport and the export and import of timber. The 2014 Regulation applies to businesses that hold one of the following licenses (collectively referred to as “License Holders”):
