ISPO Certification for Palm Oil Business

The Minister of Agriculture (“Minister”) has issued Regulation No. 11/Permentan/OT.140/3/2015 on Indonesian Sustainable Palm Oil Certification System/ISPO (“2015 Regulation”).

The 2015 Regulation sets out the procedures for a palm oil business (“Business”) to undergo the Indonesian Sustainable Palm Oil (ISPO) Certification at the Ministry. The ISPO Certification is designed to ensure a Business complies with the requirements under prevailing laws and regulations relating to economic, social, and environmental obligations so they may sell their products overseas.
