Collecting Plantation Fund Contributions from Businesses

Government Regulation No. 24 of 2015 on Gathering Plantation Funds (“2015 Regulation”) has been issued. The 2015 Regulation implements Article 93 (3) of Law No. 39 of 2014 on Plantations (“Plantation Law”), which mandates the funding of plantation activities by plantation businesses.

In detail, the 2015 Regulation stipulates provisions on the following matters:

a.	Procedures to collect funds from plantation businesses;
b.	Utilization of the fund; and
c.	Establishment of a Steering Committee and Fund Management Agency (Badan Pengelola Dana) by the government to collect and manage the fund.
