BPOM to Allow Other Non-Pharmaceutical Facilities to Dispense Drugs and Pharmaceutical Precursors: Input Open until 17 October 2025

In 2021, the National Agency of Drug and Food Control (Badan Pengawas Obat dan Makanan – “BPOM”) introduced Regulation No. 24 of 2021 (“Regulation 24/2021”)[1] on the Supervision of the Management of Drugs, Drugs Ingredients, Narcotics, Psychotropics and Pharmaceutical Precursors (collectively referred to as “Drug Products”) at Pharmaceutical Service Facilities (“Pharmaceutical Facilities”). As its title suggests, the framework of Regulation 24/2021 outlined a set of applicable licensing procedures that must be followed before Drug Products are permitted to be distributed through Pharmaceutical Facilities.[2]
