Cosmetics Manufacturers, Take Note: CPKB Certification Now Integrated into the OSS, Aspect Fulfillment Certificates Face More Restrictions

The National Agency of Drug and Food Control (Badan Pengawas Obat dan Makanan – “BPOM”) has issued Regulation No. 8 of 2026 (“Regulation 8/2026”) on the Certification of Good Cosmetics Manufacturing Practices (Cara Pembuatan Kosmetika yang Baik – “CPKB”). Regulation 8/2026 has now repealed and replaced Regulation of the BPOM No. 33 of 2021 (“Regulation 33/2021”), which bore the same title as Regulation 8/2026[1] , as Indonesia’s framework that governs CPKB implementation for cosmetic manufacturers.[2]
