Indonesia’s House of Representatives (Dewan Perwakilan Rakyat – “DPR”), alongside its government counterparts, is currently completing the work on the new Draft Bill on Spatial Planning (“Draft Bill”). If ultimately enforced, this Draft Bill would repeal and replace Law No. 26 of 2007 on Spatial Planning, as amended by Regulation of Government in Lieu of Law No. 2 of 2022 on Job Creation (collectively referred to as “Law 26/2007”).[1]
