Financing the Protection of Agricultural Land for Food Security

Government Regulation No. 30 of 2012 on Financing the Sustainable Protection of Agricultural Land for Food Security (“Regulation”) was issued to implement Article 66 (3) of Law No. 41 of 2009 on Sustainable Protection of Agricultural Land for Food Security.

The purpose of the Regulation is to secure funds to finance the Sustainable Protection of Agricultural Land for Food Security (“Agricultural Land Protection”), as stipulated under Article 2.

Pursuant to Article 5, financing agricultural land protection includes financing activities related to agricultural land, such as planning and determinations, improvements, research, utilization, development, control, supervision, information systems, and farmer protection and empowerment.
