New Provisions on Auditing Management Systems for Work Health and Safety

To ensure safe, efficient, and productive work environments,[1] the Minister of Employment[2] (“Minister”) has issued Regulation No. 26 of 2014 on Organizing Audits on Implementation of Work Health and Safety Management Systems (“Regulation”).

The Regulation is a guideline for auditing the implementation of work health and safety management systems (Sistem Manajemen Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja – “SMK3”). The Regulation is relevant to companies that employ 100 or more workers, and companies where the work nature of the company is potentially of high risk. The Regulation also concerns SMK3 audit institutions including the auditors.
