The Ministry of Health (“Ministry”) recently issued Regulation No. 34 of 2017 on Hospital Accreditation (“Regulation 34/2017”), with the objective of implementing Article 40 (4) of Law No. 44 of 2009 on Hospitals, as well as improving the quality of hospital services.[1]
With these goals in mind, Regulation 34/2017 updates several provisions which were previously regulated under Ministry Regulation No. 12 of 2012 and which addressed the same matters (“Regulation 12/2012”), specifically:
