Products Reclassified in Relation to Food-Safety Risk-Management Programs

With the ultimate goal of reclassifying the scope of products which are subject to the Food-Safety Risk-Management Program (Program Manajemen Resiko – “PMR”), the National Agency for Drugs and Food Control (Badan Pengawas Obat dan Makanan – “BPOM”) has issued Regulation No. 21 of 2019 on the Food-Safety Risk-Management Program within the Food Industry (“Regulation 21/2019”).

These same matters were previously addressed under Regulation of the Head of the BPOM No. 2 of 2017 on the Implementation of the Food-Safety Risk-Management Program within the Food Industry  (“Regulation 2/2017”), which now has been repealed and replaced by Regulation 21/2019.[1]
