Draft Regulation of the BPOM on the Application of the Food-Safety Risk-Management Program: Producers Required to Secure Permits

The National Agency of Drug and Food Control (Badan Pengawas Obat dan Makanan – “BPOM”) is currently working on a Draft Regulation on the Application of the Food-Safety Risk-Management Program (Program Manajemen Resiko – “PMR”) at Processed Food Production Facilities (“Draft Regulation”) in order to update various provisions on the food safety PMR that needed revising due to the urgent need for a comprehensive legal framework and to bring the PMR into line with recent scientific and technological developments.[1]
