Govt. Introduces Provisions on Medical Services for Legal Purposes

The Minister of Health (“Minister”) has issued Regulation No. 38 of 2022 on Medical Services for Legal Purposes (“Regulation 38/2022”) in order to address governance, facilities and infrastructure, as well as parties relevant to the implementation of medical services for legal purposes (pelayanan kedokteran untuk kepentingan hukum – “Yandokum”).[1] At its core, the organization of Yandokum serves as the basis for the provision of expert testimonies (“Testimonies”) or information that is required in relation to human bodies (“Bodies”) or objects suspected of deriving from Bodies, including:[2]
